Rumney Youth through to another semi

Rumney youth had two games on the weekend the first game played against an Italian touring side, 80% of the side was made up of u16’s player’s which gave the youth coaches a chance to see what strength of players would be coming up to youth next year. They did not disappoint with a hard-fought game against a big Italian side, they all stepped up and played great with a few stand out performances and man of the match going to the youngest player on the park openside flanker Jacob Sutcliff who was outstanding and definitely one to watch for the future. The game was played in a great spirit and ended up with both side scoring one try each.

The second game seen Rumney youth play Llanishen in the quarter final of the blues cup which was very one-sided game with Rumney winning 53 to 0. Llanishen where a young side and should be proud off their performance as they did not give up and at times played some good rugby Showing they maybe a side to look out for next year.

Rumney Youth travel to Cardiff met on Friday 16th march which will be a tuff game a game Rumney need to win to stay top of the BA league table.
